How the Powder Brows and Lip Blush Cosmetic Tattooing Process Works
Emma for Beauty offers professional cosmetic tattooing in Wanaka, specialising in Powder Brows and Lip Blush (permanent makeup).
1. Consultation & Mapping
To start the process I will book you in for a 30 minute consultation to ensure we can safely proceed with the treatment this will not be done on the same day of treatment.
We start with a thorough consultation to discuss your brow or lip goals, skin type,medical history and desired shape.
Cosmetic Tattoo Appointment
Using precise brow or lip mapping techniques, we design a shape that complements your facial features and enhances the natural you.
2. Colour Matching
A custom pigment is selected to match your natural brow color or desired lip blush pigment and skin tone. We consider factors like undertones to ensure the healed result looks soft and natural.
3. Numbing for Comfort
A topical numbing cream is applied to ensure a pain-free and comfortable experience. Most clients describe the sensation as light scratching or minimal discomfort.
5. Aftercare & Healing
Once your brows or lips are complete, we provide detailed aftercare instructions to promote proper healing. The first 7 days of aftercare is crucial to ensure pigment is retained. Expect some light scabbing and fading within the first two weeks, with full results visible after 4–6 weeks. at around week 2-3 you go through a ghosting faze where pigment will disappear .(tthis is normal)Straight after appointment the pigment will look darker. Fade rate for Powder Brows will vary between 30-50% . Lip Blush fade rate approx 40-60% (sometimes upto 70% on some skin types. Lips often heal much lighter than expected . A minimum of 2 sessions is required to build on pigment. depending on skin type upto 3 sessions may be required.
6. Touch-Up Appointment (6-8 Weeks Later)
A perfecting session is booked after healing to refine the shape, adjust pigment if needed, and ensure your brows or lips look flawless and long lasting.

A semi-permanent cosmetic Tattoo that enhances your natural lip colour and defines with a soft and natural finish.Lip blush fade rate ranges between 40-60% so a touch up is required 6-8 weeks after your initial session.
